Addition Remodel 4
Room Addition in the Boise Foothills
A deep garage allowed for an ideal traffic pattern by providing space to install new stairs directly off the main level Kitchen. The owners thanked us with a very nice letter.

After - The addition, note how the gable over the Garage bay was retained to break up the two story plane. Before - We started with no current second level, so new stairs were required. Fortunately the Garage bays were deeper than typical allowing space to place the stairwell without major interior remodeling.

The interior houses a large office. We wanted to surround the office space with natural light as much as possible, but also provide a sound barrier from the stairwell which is open to the Kitchen below. The solution was a sheet of glass to block sound, but to allow views to the mountains through the two corner windows.
This addition has received rave reviews from the owners, and we just completed another remodel, soon to be featured here.
Thanks for stopping by!
